| Sure, the Prince was a douche for turning away the old hag and for sneering at her gift, the rose....
....but that doesn't give her the right to turn him into the Beast.
I understand her reasoning was to teach him to not judge a book by its cover, but being an Enchantress doesn't give you the license to go around casting spells on people to teach them lessons. That wouldn't be cool these days....and I'm betting that's why you don't see too many Enchantresses either. | | |
| NERD MOMENT Last week was awesome! Michael Daugherty, who's bascially to the classical music art form what Andy Warhol was to the the visual art form, was in our Pacific Symphony world and it was totally cool having a music history legend in the making.... in my car! What made it even cooler was having the world premiere of his piece, Fire and Blood, which was in 2003 and his best work to date, basically recreated on our stage with the original violinsit, Ida Kavafian! This has been my favorite concert/part of the job so far. That might change when Andre Watts comes in June to play the Rachmaninoff Concerto No. 2.....I may crap my pants. | | |
| Yesterday I got a papercut under my finger nail. What are the chances of that? I don't know if it was the file folder and it's thicker than paper width being the culprit, the sensitve area under the fingernail, or both, but it surprisingly turned out to be a lil blood fest. Feel free to share your papercut stories... | | |
| An after thought based on the previous entry.... For you old SPOP staffers out there, how cool would it have been to staff a hall with George W. Bush? It'd probably be a trip to play the stick game with him. Although he'd probably be great at playing Mafia. What do you think? | | |
| Bush's current approval rating is 35%. His average approval rating since January 2006 is 38%. If this were UCI and his ratings had a correlation to a GPA, I think he would have been on Academic Probation starting Winter Quarter 2006 and then Academically disqualified by the end of Spring 2006......Fall 2006 at the latest. | | |
